AZ Corrections Director Takes Positive Actions

In September, Arizona Department of corrections director Dora Schriro took positive steps to assist leaders and members of AZCOPS Local 7077 and its affiliated group, the Arizona Correctional Peace Officers Association (AZCPOA).  Director Schriro  issued directives permitting correctional officers who are members of AZCOPS to wear AZCOPS pins; and permitted extended leave time for the AZCPOA President and Executive Board members.  "This is a very positive step by Director Schriro," said AZCPOA President Tixoc Munoz.  "She should be commended for wanting to have good labor-management relations in the DOC."
