AZCOPS Local 7077 Member Wins Leadership Award

The Rich Anemone Leadership Award, given to the NCPSO/CWA member who demonstrated the greatest leadership skills over the past year, was given at the conference to Bill Derfus, President of Marana POA and a member of AZCOPS Local 7077.  Derfus was the point man in a fight with the police administration over coercive management practices against the union leadership, and ran a public campaign against both the Chief and Assistant Chief that resulted in their stepping down from their positions within 3 months after the campaign began.
