Recognition for CWA Local 3371 Correctional Officers

On September 23rd, Lexington-Fayette County Metro Government Mayor Teresa Isaac recognized CWA Local 3372 to represent 360+ correctional officers who work in the metro corrections facility.  This recognition followed 18 months of hard work by Local 3372 leadership in pushing for collective bargaining legislation for correctional officers and then mounting a card check campaign that netted a majority of officers signing representation cards authorizing Local 3372 to represent them.  "This campaign was incredibly run" said NCPSO/CWA Director John Burpo.  "All credit goes to Local President Mike Garkovich, Vice President Bryce McGowan, and correctional leaders John Taylor."
