Reno Conference a Huge Success
May 21, 2007
More than 90 public safety labor leaders attended the NCPSO/CWA national training and leadership conference in April in Reno. The conference focused on the health care/pension funding and staffing level crises in the public safety profession. Speakers included San Mateo County benefits manager Paul Manager, San Antonio POA President Teddy Stewart, Texas attorney and management negotiator Lowell Denton, Seattle police officer Mike Severance, Tucson POA President Larry Lopez, and nationally recognized labor leader Ron DeLord. "NCPSO/CWA continues to provide high level training to public safety officers around the country," said President Chris McGill.
