San Antonio POA Members Ratify New Contract

Members of the San Antonio POA, NCPSO/CWA Local 6913, voted 72%-28% in May to approve a new 3 year contract.  The contentious agreement, which included a previous proposal rejected by the membership, included a 14.8% wage increase over the next 18 months, improvements in wellnass benefits, no premium increase, top step pay increases at all classifications, and the first mandatory staffing level requirements ever in the contract.  SAPOA President Teddy Stewart said, "The overwhelming majority of our members saw that this was a good agreement and voted accordingly."
