South African Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union

Local 2911 President Cliff Thrasher has been invited by the South African Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) to speak at an international conference on Police Labor Relations in Southern Africa.  The program will be in Maseru, which is the capital of Lesotho.  The purpose of the conference is to extend bargaining beyond South Africa into other countries such a Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Swaziland, and Lesotho.  "I am very excited to be invited to speak at the conference," Thrasher said, "and proud to represent my Local and CWA."
